Camp Life

Feel the Kemur Magic

As you drive down the treed laneway into our family farm you will pass horses in rolling pastures and green fields of crops. Look up, and the matching peaks of our pavilion, dining room patio and Derby Bunkhouse/office will welcome you to Kemur Camp! Derby houses 22 ‘older’ girls ( grade 6-8)

If you continue on past Derby you will skirt the central paddock and find yourself facing a large, green building. This building houses Kemur’s second bunkhouse ‘Loft’ (grade 1-5 ) our tack room and ‘New Barn’.

Our second barn is located a half-minute walk from the New Barn building. The Old Barn rests on a beautiful stone foundation.

When you leave the Old Barn and head towards the dining room you will pass the Murray’s house on your right. Further down is our volleyball net and swimming pool, both great places to enjoy a sunny afternoon.

Next, you will see one of the five large hunter sand rings. Our riding facilities include one enclosed arena, two intermediate rings, and two advanced rings with a lovely hunter course. Our neighbouring 200 acres of forest with trails complete our comprehensive riding program.

Kemur’s protected wetland is home to many rare birds, including a resident family of Sandhill Cranes.

The pavilion is adjacent to the sand ring and is perfect for our Sunday welcome, crafts during the week, a game of Connect Four and skits and dance parties on Friday.
