What to Bring

The ‘List’

This list is a helpful guideline. Please be sure to label all items with your child’s full name. We have found girls like bring plastic drawers to camp.  Please bring one set of drawers. A duffel bag that can be stored under the bunk with warmer clothes is handy.

Horsey Stuff

  • Helmet —All girls must bring a properly fitted helmet that is SEI approved.
  • Shoes or boots with a small heel. (For example: Blundstones or paddock boots. Rubber boots are great for beginner riders. Please no boots with an inside zipper).
  • Half chaps (optional)
  • Breeches (optional) or comfortable pants for riding.
  • Riding gloves (optional)
  • Hairnet or Hair elastic (helps to keep hair out of your face while riding)
  • Riding Safety Vest (optional but a great idea, found at fine tack stores)
  • Horse treats (optional) we have found apples and carrots spoil quickly so we would encourage you to bring a molasses or hard style treat

Bedding

  • single fitted bottom sheet and blankets or sleeping bag
  • pillow
  • your favourite stuffy 🙂 

Shower and Swim 

  • Bathing suit (two is good idea) 
  • Towels (two is a good idea)
  • Sunscreen
  • Sunhat
  • Sunglasses
  • Shower ‘caddy’-to keep your shampoo etc
  • Shampoo/Conditioner 
  • Body wash
  • Deodorant 
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Toothbrush 
  • Toothpaste
  • SPF Lip balm

Clothing

  • T-shirts and Tank tops
  • Shorts
  • Socks 
  • Underwear
  • Long sleeve shirt (for trail rides) 
  • Joggers/Leggings (comfy pants)
  • Sweater/Sweatshirt
  • Raincoat

Miscellaneous 

  • Running shoes
  • Sandals
  • Book or Magazine
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Small flashlight 
  • Laundry bag (one to tie on corner of bunk is handy)
  • Hairbrush
  • Bandaids
  • Insect repellant 

 

If you wish to send Tylenol, Tums, Benadryl or other over the counter medications please make staff aware of this. Campers can keep this in the staff room if you wish.

All prescription medication must be in its’ original container and checked in at the office.
